Far from a mirage, Sensei Porcupine Creek Resort is a luxury wellness and golf retreat offering guests the opportunity to move, nourish, and rest throughout its secluded 230 acres—a desert property surrounded by lush trees, red flowers, striking cacti, and unique art installations.

Created by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison and Dr. David Agus, who were brought together by the loss of a close friend, Sensei Porcupine Creek “aims to inspire people to live longer, healthier lives through programs and experiences unique to each wellbeing journey.”

Sensei Porcupine Creek is the perfect place to work on yourself—and your golf game—through a variety of high-end accommodations, services, and wellness offerings. Alongside a carefully curated collection of activities and services, including wellbeing consultations and rejuvenating spa services, guests are nourished via Sensei by Nobu, an evidence-led approach to nutrition in collaboration with world-renowned Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

Each meal at the resort—whether enjoyed alfresco amid lush gardens, within the elegant interior of the dining room or sushi bar, by the pool, in the comfort of your accommodations, or even on the golf course—is designed to ignite the senses and provide optimal benefits, tasting great without being restrictive.

Also aimed at optimizing wellness is Sensei Porcupine Creek’s Golf Optimal Wellbeing Program. This one-of-a-kind experience invites golfers of all skill levels to improve their overall wellness practices while reaching their performance goals through the latest technology and personal guidance led by Sensei’s experienced golf professionals and wellness team. The package includes a minimum five-night stay in luxurious accommodations, six hours of private instruction, two massages or featured spa treatments, private fitness assessments, and daily rotating wellbeing classes.

Guests can apply their new wellness learnings and golf practices on the course via unlimited solo rounds on the pristine 6,665-yard track within the property. Spread across 75 acres, the front nine features picturesque topography similar to the resort itself, while the back nine has a more rugged, desertlike feel, with sweeping vistas of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The entire course is open exclusively to retreat guests and, as such, offers unparalleled privacy.

Playing at your own pace, with plenty of buffer between tee times, soak in the serene surroundings as much as you do your great golf shots. The signature hole is the 217-yard 15th, showcasing a 200-foot plunge from the tee box to a wildly undulated green that’s an exciting test for golfers of all skill levels.

Like Sensei Porcupine Creek as a whole, the golf course is designed to give guests an exclusive experience—the feeling that you have the fairways and greens all to yourself. Director of Agronomy and Landscaping Jacob Heck meticulously assesses course grow-in by cutting out square-inch samples of ryegrass and counting the blades one by one.

It’s this attention to detail—along with a relaxing, luxurious environment that nurtures self care and wellbeing—that makes Sensei Porcupine Creek a truly paradisiacal oasis.
