Showing he’s still got it, Arnold Palmer was the third highest-earning golfer of 2013, according to Golf Digest’s annual list.

Despite not winning a PGA tournament since 1973 (the Bob Hope Desert Classic) the King’s 2013 total of $40 million wasn’t dramatically far behind current world No.5 Phil Mickelson, at $52 million.

Somewhat amazingly, 2013 represents Palmer’s highest-earning year ever, with his business acumen paying off from such enterprises as The Golf Channel, to name one. Still, Arnold Palmer ranked third in last year’s list as well, bringing in $36 million and sitting pretty in a top four that’s remained unchanged. Surprising no one, Tiger Woods kept the No.1 spot with $83 million in 2013, which brings his career total to roughly $1.3 billion. The No.4 spot belonged to Jack Nicklaus, at $26 million.
