Where Exclusivity Unlocks the World’s Top Courses

Less than one in twenty American golfers who played in 2023 belong to a private club, and an even smaller percentage hold multiple memberships. Being able to choose between playing at two or more private clubs is a rarefied luxury, but there is a small group of golfers taking this “exclusive variety” concept to the extreme. The Epic Golf Club has over 900 members, and these lucky few enjoy connections to play more than 1,000 private clubs, including reciprocal privileges at over 80 of the Top 100 in the United States. These numbers are impressive already, but they continue to grow.

Corporate executive Noah DiPasquale quickly became a full-blown golf lover just a few years after taking up the game, and launched Epic Golf Club, a “private golf society,” in 2018. In the six years since it has grown to more than 900 members from 46 U.S. states and 15 other countries. Scottsdale-based Epic brings a tremendous amount of golf industry experience and clout to the table, and several of the club’s full-time staffers, including the general manager, membership director, director of events and head golf professional are members of the LPGA and PGA of America.

Because its members are very well connected in golf, and all of them already belong to one or more prestigious clubs, a requirement for eligibility, the strength of the society is sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. In fact, Epic’s strategy acknowledges that the member network is one of the most valuable benefits of belonging. In addition to the clubs with which it has negotiated reciprocal privileges, the society’s full-time concierge staff can reach out to its own membership to host fellow Epic golfers. These concierges are available to book play at private clubs on demand and arrange lodging. In addition, Epic hosts 20-30 annual events at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs, a great networking opportunity among a pool of individuals who share a passion for golf and the finer things in life. In this vein, Epic is also developing a catalog of exclusive offers and discounts with upscale companies outside the golf space.

“Epic has transformed the way golfers experience the game, offering opportunities to experience the most exclusive courses and events,” said founder Noah DiPasquale. “We continue to see high demand from our members for unique opportunities that go beyond what traditional club memberships offer. Every event sells out, and we’re committed to delivering even more in response to our members’ excitement.”

Prospective members can apply online via the Epic Golf Club website, and in addition to a qualifying private club membership, there are three rounds of interviews with a review committee. U.S. residents must belong to a domestic club, while foreign members can apply based on international memberships. Epic’s agreement with the private clubs precludes listing them by name, and applicants must sign a non-disclosure agreement to view the impressive roster. To increase the network’s breadth, the number of golfers from any particular club is limited. There are a few different membership options, with pricing information given during the application process, but Epic’s general manager compared the fees to those of being a national member at a high-end private club. With Epic Golf Club, the possibilities for exclusive golf experiences are endless. As the network continues to expand and new opportunities emerge, members can look forward to an even more elevated way to enjoy the game. If approved to join, Kingdom subscribers receive the first six months of dues free.
