ith golf’s final major in the books for 2025, we find ourselves already looking ahead to next year’s biggest championships. In just over half a year’s time, the best players on the planet will kick-start a five-month stretch where they’ll not only compete against each other for a collection of the sport’s most prestigious trophies and awards, but also challenge some of the most iconic courses in the land.

Along the way, Ketel One will be there. In fact, Ketel One has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with golf—one that dates back to the days when Arnold Palmer was suavely walking down fairways and cashing winner’s checks. The King was famous for his libation of choice: Ketel One vodka served on the rocks with a lemon wedge. In time, the Dutch spirit brand let the world know, too—one popular print advertisement matter-of-factly stated, “We thought you’d like to know Arnold Palmer drinks Ketel One.”

As for what to drink at next year’s four major championships (and golf’s unofficial fifth major, the Players Championship), we’ve paired a classic Ketel One cocktail with each. Here, we share those five complementary pairings and the necessary steps to create each drink at home. As golf pairings go, these are true win-wins.

TPC Sawgrass and a Ketel One Vodka Soda

One glance and a single sip of a properly made—and properly garnished—Ketel One and soda, and it’s clear why this cocktail is the peanut butter to TPC Sawgrass’s jelly. For starters, the vibrantly colored grapefruit wedge is a classic tip of the cap to Florida’s prominent citrus farms. The bright, crisp, and clean flavors of the drink are also familiar and welcoming—much like the host course for the Players Championship each March. It’s a libation that can suit every taste, just as TPC Sawgrass’s Stadium Course is a venue where any style of play can win.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 5 oz. soda water
  • Grapefruit wedge & rosemary sprig, for garnish

Preparation:

  • In a Collins glass filled with ice, add vodka and soda water, stirring gently to combine. Then garnish with the grapefruit wedge and rosemary.

Augusta National Golf Club and a Ketel One Tee Time

Sweet tea and lemonade are as analogous to Southern hospitality as any fare you’ll find, so it only stands to reason that Ketel One’s Tee Time, a boozy rendition of a classic Arnold Palmer, should be sipped and enjoyed while watching the Masters. The sight of Augusta National Golf Club in full bloom each April brings to mind the fragrant scents of azaleas, wisteria, and dogwoods. A bouquet such as that goes perfectly with the faint hints of lemon and tea in this refreshing cocktail. If ever there was a cocktail made for day drinking, this is it.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 3 oz. lemonade
  • 3 oz. iced tea
  • Lemon wedge, for garnish

Preparation:

  • Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice, then garnish with a lemon wedge.

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club and a Ketel One Dutch Mule

Equally fruity and spicy, a Ketel One Dutch Mule is an effervescent slap in the face, a libation that says, “Wake up and pay attention!” The same can be said for Shinnecock Hills in the Hamptons, a course that trundles across rolling, sandy terrain; is buffeted by brisk coastal winds; typically plays firm and fast; and introduces penal fescue rough and a slew of strategic elements that force players to make wise decisions at every turn. Much like this historic, William Flynn–designed golf course, Ketel One’s rendition of a mule will keep you on your toes.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 5 oz. ginger beer
  • 1/3 oz. fresh lime juice
  • Lime wedge and a mint bouquet, for garnish

Preparation:

  • In an enamel mug, pour the vodka and lime juice, then add ice. Top with ginger beer, give the concoction a stir, then finish it with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint.

Royal Birkdale Golf Club and a Ketel One Bloody Mary

Next year marks the 11th time that the Open Championship is contested at Royal Birkdale, a British course set along the northwest coast of England that was granted its royal status by King George VI in 1951. Thus, it only seems fitting that we pair the prestigious links golf club with a cocktail whose name is widely believed to be a reference to Queen Mary I. Much like the cocktail, a round of golf at Royal Birkdale can be flavorful in a variety of ways. When the weather is benign, golf across these 18, seaside holes can be smooth and savory; but if the winds should pick up, things are certain to get spicy. You’re all but certain to pull every club from your bag and hit every conceivable shot during a round at Royal Birkdale. And when you mix yourself a Ketel One Bloody Mary, you’re bound to enjoy a vast array of flavors, too.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 5 oz. tomato juice
  • 1/3 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 5 drops of hot sauce
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • Celery stick, for garnish

Preparation:

  • In a highball glass filled with ice, add all ingredients, stir until well combined, then garnish with a celery stick.

Aronimink Golf Club and a Ketel One Espresso Martini

Donald Ross once acknowledged that he intended Aronimink Golf Club to be his masterpiece, only it took him a while to realize that the course he created was even better than he originally knew it to be. We think the same can be said for whoever created the espresso martini. It’s even more fitting that we pair the popular martini with this historic course just outside of Philadelphia, as the celebrated venue will soon host the PGA Championship—a major synonymous with Walter Hagen, the trailblazing professional of the early 20th century who, during tournaments, would occasionally arrive to the first tee wearing dinner coats or tuxedos, suggesting he’d been out all night. If he had, we’re certain a few Ketel One Espresso Martinis were in play.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • 1 oz. Mr Black coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz. espresso (can substitute with cold brew concentrate)
  • ½ oz. simple syrup (optional)
  • Three coffee beans or orange zest, for garnish

Preparation:

  • Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass, then garnish with the coffee beans or orange zest.
