o commemorate the 122nd U.S. Open, Dewar’s has released “The Champions Edition” whisky, a 19-year-old blend created by Dewar’s Master Blender Stephanie MacLeod in partnership with the USGA

“Balanced and smooth” may or may not characterize the golf of the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club, Brookline, but emphatically it does apply to “The Champions Edition” whisky introduced by Dewar’s specifically to commemorate the 122nd U.S. Open.

“The Champions Edition”, a 19 Year-Old limited edition, has been blended by Dewar’s Master Blender Stephanie MacLeod in collaboration with the USGA. True to Dewar’s tradition, the blend has been double-aged and then finished in a combination of New American Oak Casks and First Fill Rye Casks. Vibrant and layered, “The Champions Edition” brings notes of butterscotch, heather honey, and cinnamon spice to the forefront of a rich and complex flavor profile.

Dewar’s and the USGA have also collaborated to create the Dewar’s Lemon Wedge, the official cocktail of the U.S. Open. Giving the classic Highball a fresh twist, the refreshing Lemon Wedge features Dewar’s 12 Year-Old, club soda, fresh lemonade and garnish with a lemon wedge. The complete deal should also be finished with a golf tee pick. At The Country Club, Brookline this week, the Dewar’s Lemon Wedge is being served in a special-edition U.S. Open memorabilia cup.

“When it comes to warm-weather drinks on the golf course it’s hard to beat a Highball, especially when you add some truly refreshing ingredients that allow the complex and flavorful taste of Dewar’s 12 Year-Old to shine through,” says Alex Farrer, Dewar’s brand manager.
